What’s your working background, and how did you come to work for Newicon?

Starting out in a social media management role while studying for a degree in Digital Marketing, I’ve been working in the marketing space for just over two years - gaining experience across public relations and digital marketing. Now looking to relocate to Bristol, I discovered Newicon during my job search and was instantly drawn to the innovative work it's doing!

Describe your job to a six-year-old

I tell people how cool things are so they want to try or buy them!

What are you looking forward to working on the most?

I’m really looking forward to working with Zoe and the team to showcase all the amazing offerings Newicon have. I’ve always been interested in tech, so I’m excited to learn and soak everything up whilst working on and showcasing the projects Newicon have to offer!

What tech breakthroughs do you think we’ll be seeing in the next ten years?

I think we will start to see AI handling a lot more, such as deliveries, bringing food, goods, or even medicine to our doors at lightning speed - whether it’s drones or ground-based robots.

What do you like doing outside of work, any unusual hobbies?

I’m an avid gym-goer outside of work - I love all things weight lifting, running, and unusual hobby-wise - Muay Thai! When I’m not stressing out my Apple Watch with my heart rate, I enjoy spending time with friends and family and you’ll always find me getting involved with any book clubs!

Favourite film/TV show/podcast?

Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship/Parks and Recreation/There I’ve Said It

What book should everyone read?

The Book Thief

At Newicon we listen to a lot of music and make far too many playlists. What are your go-to songs and/or artists?

It depends on my mood and where I am! I tend to sway towards old school R&B and hip hop with my faves being Aaliyah and A Tribe Called Quest - however completely differing in genre, my go-to-song is always ‘The Difference’ by Flume!
